Embroidered racquets

Embroidering vintage tennis racquets was born out of my need to keep my hands busy after work and to ensure that my thrift store/estate sale habit didn’t take over my home. 

For years, I just made them for friends and put them on my own walls, but before I knew it, the number of antique wooden racquets I had amassed had exceeded the wall space reasonable for displaying. 

I am not an expert embroiderer; I am a see-what-works-as-I go kind of artist, and these have been such a joy to work on.
